He was born in 1982 in Mersin, where he grew up, drawing inspiration from the melancholic spirit of the Mediterranean. “Garip Toz”, the debut novel of the Ankara-based writer, delves into themes of alienation, loss, the depths of the human soul, and love. When not writing, Hakan enjoys long walks in nature, playing the drums, and listening to the silence of the sea. He is the father of Deniz Yıldız.
